Laura’s interest in real estate goes back as far as she can remember, when her mother, Diane, was an exceptionally successful agent in Boston. Diane instilled in Laura an unyielding business sense and, more importantly, an authentic passion for helping others achieve their goals.
After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing at Boston’s Northeastern University, Laura embarked on a triumphant career in finance. She worked with leading Fortune 500 Companies including John Hancock Financial Services in Boston, where she met her husband. Seeking a warmer climate, the couple moved to Atlanta and purchased an investment property in Ponte Vedra Beach.
In 2016, with three kids, the couple gave in to the low-key small-town feel of Ponte Vedra that had been calling to them for years. They moved their entire family to the friendly Atlantic Coast resort community and developed new friendships, interests and opportunities.
Laura met her business partner, Kim Bright, through their daughters. With Laura’s business and finance acumen and Kim’s keen eye for design and staging, the two created what is now the highly acclaimed Bright Bishop Group with Compass. The team has expanded to four agents and serves the popular Florida communities of Ponte Vedra Beach, Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach and Amelia Island.
